V-Belt and Full-Hub V-Belt Pulleys, Poly-V Pulleys
V-belt or hub pulleys are essential machine elements needed for V-belt drives. Here, two shafts are connected to each other via a V-belt or banded belt using a V-belt. Often, this type of pulley is also known as a V-pulley or grooved pulley. The material is usually grey cast iron, often known as GG-20 or EN-GJL 200.
This type of pulley is available as a:
- Full pulley: full material between the hub and the rim
- Plate pulley: Material twisted out between the hub and the rim
- Arm pulley: Material between the hub and the rim is only a bridge
In contrast to taper V-belt pulleys, hub V-belt pulleys must be additionally drilled and grooved.
For this reason, a V-belt pulley for taper bushes is simpler to handle, and has the following advantages:
- easy alignment of the shaft/hub connection
- simple replacement of the drive elements if requirements change
- a V-pulley can be used for many different shaft diameters
All taper bushes have a bore including groove in conformity with DIN As a result of the groove, the transportation of the pulley by the shaft is supported
