Taper-Bushes and Weld-On Hubs

Taper bushes are used to affix pulleys or couplings to shafts. There are also chain wheels for taper bushes. Each taper bush is fitted with a feather keyway in case higher loads occur during the power transfer. ConCar has these bushes in its product range, with metric and imperial bores. You can find more information in the pdf attached.

Taper weld-on hubs come with a tapered bore. They are mounted with standard taper bushes. They are used when special devices (such as fan runners, etc.) need to be mounted onto a shaft. Weld-on hubs are easy to mount, particularly when conditions of use are difficult. When the screws are tightened, the bore is pressed together, and the weld-on hub is affixed on the shaft.
