Taper Roller Bearings

Taper roller bearings are constructed in such a way that the extensions of the inner ring raceway, the outer ring raceway and the roller axis meet at precisely one point on the bearing axis. Taper roller bearings are able to withstand very high loads, both in the radial and axial directions, and are usually installed in pairs opposite each other. Alternatively, other arrangements with several bearings are used.

Advantages and special features of the NSK taper roller bearings:

  • Axial loads in both directions with arrangement in pairs
  • average speeds
  • by making a setting during mounting, a small bearing clearance can be achieved during operation
  • higher permissible speed limit due to improved surface quality
  • the high-precision sheet steel cage controls the roller position and leads to lower heat development and improved wear resistance
