ConCar ribbed belts are named ConCar PolyRib now.
Ribbed belts - also known as Poly-V belts - are a hybrid of flat belts and V-belts that combines the advantages of both. This combination essentially means the flexibility of a flat belt and the favourable power transmission of a V-belt. The technical standard of the ConCar PolyRib remains unchanged high.
Individual characteristics could even be improved by switching to mold production:
- higher permissible belt speeds
- smaller minimum pulley diameters
- more compact belt design / lower belt weight
